The Rebecca Foundation, in partnership with the Council for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (COTVET), has donated equipment to some hairdressers and seamstresses across the country to enhance their businesses during this COVID-19 pandemic.

The donation was done in response to a request made by the Hairdressers and Beauticians Association in January this year to the First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo.

Mrs Akosua Newman, the Director of Operations at the Office of The First Lady, who made the donation on behalf of the Foundation, said the Foundation was determined to contribute to enriching the lives of women and help support individuals to grow their businesses.

“I am glad to have this wonderful collaboration with COTVET and I know this machines will go a long way to help support your dreams and help alleviate the burdens on you during this trying moments,” she said.

Mrs Newman entreated the beneficiaries to continue to observe the protocols associated with COVID-19 and stay safe.

“I entreat you to take good care of yourselves and adhere to all the various protocols associated with COVID-19 since we are not in ordinary times,” she said.
