English-born Ghanaian defender Richard Nartey has returned to Chelsea after his loan spell at English League One side Burton Albion.
The 21-year-old joined the third-tier side last summer on loan from the Blues and was one of the consistent players for the team.
Nartey made 25 league appearances before the season ended due to the coronavirus pandemic.
According to a release by the club, Nartey and four other players who they acquired on loan are heading back to their various clubs after a wonderful campaign with them.
“Kieran O’Hara, Richard Nartey, Conor Shaughnessy, Nathan Broadhead, and Jamie Murphy.”
Born in England, Nartey is of Ghanaian descent and is eligible to represent the Black Stars.
