Earlier today, I held a zoom meeting with Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft to discuss three key issues:

1. Ghana’s progress on immunization against the new circulating vaccine-derived polio virus type 2 (cVDPV2).

2. The lessons from Ghana’s policy response to COVID-19.

3. Ghana’s digitization strategy.

It was a good exchange of views and he congratulated Ghana for the strides we have made on several fronts. I also thanked him and the Gates Foundation for their successful work in the fight against polio and other diseases. I was joined in the meeting by Dr. Oko-Boye, Deputy Minister for Health.
