Dufia of Botoku Blada-Tornu a farming community in the North Dayi District in the Volta Region, Togbe Kukuma III has lamented that lack of road network had created major challenges hampering developmental projects in his community.
Togbe Kukuma disclosed this in an interaction with Anthony Isaac Princewil Egbeako,a Freelance Journalist expressed worry over lack of concern on the part of governments to construct a 3.5km road network to facilitate smooth accessibility and socioeconomic activities.
He further noted that lack of the amenity had cutoff farmers and traders from markets to make ends-meet due to unavailability of vehicles to convey farm produce as they get rotten on the farms.
He added that pregnant women are of no exception as they find it difficult to visit health centres for antenatal care which some of them are compelled to deliver their babies in the bush on their way to these health centres during labour as a result of no road.
Togbe Kukuma therefore petitioned the Akuffo-Addo led-goverment to come to their aid to provide them With road network to ascertain livelihood of residents and developmental projects in his community.
